SChatBUDDY is a freeware Windows application for encrypting chat sessions. It offers clipboard support to transfer data from/to any chat application like IRC or ICQ. It offers public key cryptography and symmetric cryptography.

SChatBUDDY is based on CryptLIB, developped with Delphi 5.0 (also compiles with Delphi 4.0).

New in version 3.0: supports ElGamal public/private key encryption: no need to send session keys anymore…

Version 3.0 also introduces “simple” mode.

• 19990915: First version available (v1.0). Implements Blowfish encryption of text, from the Tray, with Clipboard support.
